The Athens Veterans organizations and the Elks Lodge 973 invite you to show your patriotic support for our Veterans, our Country and our Men & Women serving in our Armed Forces today by participating in our annual Veteran’s Day Parade and Ceremony on November 11th.

This year’s theme is “Remember Me-The Veteran”.

The parade will form along Morris Avenue starting at 9:15 am and the parade will begin at 9:45 am.

The parade will move West on State Street to Carpenter Street to Court Street to the Soldiers & Sailors Monument on the Ohio University Campus at the corner of Court and Union Streets, where a program honoring our veterans will start promptly at 11:00 am.

This year’s guest speaker is Lieutenant Colonel Terry D. St. Peter, Professor of Military Science for the Ohio University Army Reserve Officer Training Corps.
