9/11-Free Lunch for Athens County 1st Responders

It’s lunch on the Athens Elks for first responders today – the anniversary of the Nine-11 attacks.

Elks member Dave Williams says the spaghetti lunch will be from 11 a-m to one p-m at the Elks Lodge, 600 West Union Street.

For first responders who can’t get away, the Elks will deliver.┬áJust call 592-99-77 after ten a-m.

Williams says it’s a way to say thank you to the county’s first responders for everything they do – on a day that has so much meaning for them.
