Missing Foster Children

12-year-old Roscoe Hunter

David Shelton

Authorities in a southeast Ohio county are looking for two missing foster kids.

The Vinton County Sheriff’s Office says the foster parents of 16-year-old David Shelton and 12-year-old Roscoe Hunter discovered the boys were missing when they woke up around 6:30 Tuesday morning.

When he was last seen headed to bed around 10:30 Monday night, 16-year-old David was wearing gray colored pajamas with white polar bears on them. David is described as six feet tall, 145 pounds with dark brown hair, and may be wearing a gray Tote.

Twelve-year-old Roscoe is five-foot-two, weighs 100 pounds with bright red hair and it’s not known what he was wearing. He doesn’t normally wear a jacket, but wears several hoodie’s.

Roscoe is also B-Polar and both boys have Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder and take medication.

Roscoe is originally from Ross County and lived in a foster home in Jackson County for a long period before being moved to Vinton County. The 12-year-old has no immediate family that foster parents are aware of.

The sheriff office says the direction the boys headed is not know, but David does have a Grandmother in Waverly.
