It was a cold day in December when Jason Stone was born. The Earth shook, the sky was filled with lightning, and buzzards circled the hospital in anticipation of the havoc the child would certainly wreak on all those in his path.
Fortunately, none of that is true, except for the part about it being a cold day in December.
Now Jason Stone takes the air on Power 105 every weekday from 3-7 p.m. He’s joined by Susan James and her band of flying ONN newscasters, delivering the afternoon news at 3:50, 4:50, and 5:50. Disclaimer: ONN newscasters can’t really fly, except for Dave James.
Jason takes a request for the 80s Flashback every day at 4:20 p.m. Let him know what 80s song will hit the spot today, and remember: the 80s Flashback is a song from the 1980s, not a song from someone born in the 1980s. Justin Bieber wasn’t born until like 1994 anyway.

Speaking of requests, be sure to call them in for the All-Request Drive at 5, brought to you by Donatos! You can call those requests in the old-fashioned way or send an e-quest via email or text message. Use our brand new “Submit Your E-Quest” button, found on the right side of this page, or text him at power105@frognet.net! Just don’t text while driving, ’cause that’s dangerous.
Jason is excited about bringing back a feature in the afternoons called Four-O-Clock Funnies! During that hour you’ll hear clips and interviews from some of America’s hottest rising comics, all of whom will perform at the very funny Comedy Caravan events at a venue to be announced.
Jason has been voted runner-up in the Best DJ category of Athens News‘ Best of Athens readers’ poll two years running. He was also voted Most Likely to Die of a Pizza Overdose and is seeking rehabilitation services for his addiction to pizza. We don’t have much hope for him though.
Jason graduated cum laude from Ohio University in 2010 with a degree in media management, so he is perfectly qualified to answer our phones and push a couple buttons. He is housebroken and also knows how to use email, so if you need to contact him when he’s not in the control room, feel free to email him at jstone@wxtq.com.
