Power 105 Personalities
Robin Barnes

Robin Barnes is originally from Barberton and then Coshocton Ohio but feels mostly like an Athenian since she has been here for 16 years. She has worked in radio for over 10 years. Before working at WATH and Power 105 she worked for WHIZ in Zanesville. Robin graduated from Ohio University, GO BOBCATS! She says she was raised on radio and loves music along with community theatre. She is involved with Athenian/Berean Players and Actors Movable Theatre. She loves to learn new dances, karaoke and is learning how to play drums. Another love, besides working in radio, is meeting you at community events and taking your e-quests. She resides in Athens with, as she says, her awesome son Dylan, who rocks! You can hear Robin weekdays on WXTQ 6-10am. and she also serves the stations as a salesperson.

Key

Join Key for todays hit music and her decidedly offbeat humor on Power 105 weekdays from 10AM to 3PM and Saturday from 8am – 2pm. Phone in or send an E-Quest to power105@frognet.net your RETRO request at Noon Monday through Saturday during the RETRO RADIO REQUEST SHOW where you can hear music from the late seventies to the early nineties and everything in between (brought to you by D.P. Dough on Richland Avenue). If you have lost or found a pet listen for the Pooch Patrol every day M-F at 2:15pm, brought to you by Petland!

Jason Stone

It was a cold day in December when Jason Stone was born. The Earth shook, the sky was filled with lightning, and buzzards circled the hospital in anticipation of the havoc the child would certainly wreak on all those in his path.

Fortunately, none of that is true, except for the part about it being a cold day in December.

Now Jason Stone takes the air on Power 105 every weekday from 3-7 p.m. He’s joined by Susan James and her band of flying ONN newscasters, delivering the afternoon news at 3:50, 4:50, and 5:50. Disclaimer: ONN newscasters can’t really fly, except for Dave James.

80s FlashbackJason takes a request for the 80s Flashback every day at 4:20 p.m. Let him know what 80s song will hit the spot today, and remember: the 80s Flashback is a song from the 1980s, not a song from someone born in the 1980s. Justin Bieber wasn’t born until like 1994 anyway.

Speaking of requests, be sure to call them in for the All-Request Drive at 5, brought to you by Donatos! You can call those requests in the old-fashioned way or send an e-quest via email or text message. Use our brand new “Submit Your E-Quest” button, found on the right side of this page, or text him at power105@frognet.net! Just don’t text while driving, ’cause that’s dangerous.

Jason is excited about bringing back a feature in the afternoons called Four-O-Clock Funnies! During that hour you’ll hear clips and interviews from some of America’s hottest rising comics, all of whom will perform at the very funny Comedy Caravan events at a venue to be announced.

Jason has been voted runner-up in the Best DJ category of Athens News‘ Best of Athens readers’ poll two years running. He was also voted Most Likely to Die of a Pizza Overdose and is seeking rehabilitation services for his addiction to pizza. We don’t have much hope for him though.

Jason graduated cum laude from Ohio University in 2010 with a degree in media management, so he is perfectly qualified to answer our phones and push a couple buttons. He is housebroken and also knows how to use email, so if you need to contact him when he’s not in the control room, feel free to email him at jstone@wxtq.com.

Kirby Kilwalski

Kirby has been a behind the scenes kind of guy at Power 105 and can be heard weeknights from 7pm till Midnight, playing your favorite music and taking your requests! Call in at 592-1055 or toll-free 1-888-592-1055, or send your e-quest (or text request)to power105@frognet.net(which is easier than ever there is a link on the right side of this screen)!  The Awesome Two @ 7pm – Two songs from your favorite Artist. Have a request or a dedication? Give Kirby a call or send an E-Quest to power105@frognet.net from 8 all the way until 11 every weekday.

Photobucket

Don’t forget about the Revenge of Rock which can now be heard every weeknight from 11 til Midnight! The Revenge of Rock is the only rock show in Southeast Ohio.  Listeners will hear and request music by artists like Alice In Chains, Ozzy Osbourne, Shinedown, Buckycherry, Linkin Park, Soundgarden and much more…
