The shelter is also an adoption center. There are many wonderful dogs available for adoption, maybe one that is perfect for you! They are open Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday 10:00 to 5:00, Wednesday 10:00 to 7:00, Saturday 10:00 to 1:00 and Closed on Sundays (hours may be subject to change).

A FREEZE WATCH WILL BE IN EFFECT FROM LATE WEDNESDAY NIGHT THROUGH THURSDAY MORNING FOR ATHENS, MEIGS, MORGAN, PERRY AND WASHINGTON COUNTIES….
* TEMPERATURES…LOWS IN THE UPPER 20S TO LOWER 30S.
* IMPACTS…SENSITIVE YOUNG SPRING PLANTS AND BLOSSOMING FRUIT TREES COULD BE KILLED IF NOT PROTECTED.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS…A FREEZE WATCH MEANS SUB-FREEZING TEMPERATURES ARE POSSIBLE. THESE CONDITIONS COULD KILL CROPS AND OTHER SENSITIVE VEGETATION.

2 Lost Dogs

Both male, one is German Sheppard wearing a multi colored collar with tags, his name is Tucker. The other is a 3 legged Beagle, tri colored, black, tan and white wearing a rinstone studded collar with tags, his name is Louie.  They were last seen at the end of  Armitage Road near the bike path.  Call Beth 740-407-0583.
