The Cincinnati Reds fell to the St. Louis Cardinals last night, 8-6. The Reds jumped on the Cardinals early, scoring four times in the second on RBI triples from Zack Cozart and Todd Frazier. However, Matt Holliday blasted a three-run homer in the third and with St. Louis trailing by one in the seventh, Allen Craig hit a grandslam off J.J. Hoover to help the Cards pull away. The Redlegs cut into the St. Louis lead in the eighth on a Jay Bruce solo homer, but the comeback would stop there. Cincinnati will take on the Cardinals again tonight. Mat Latos will take the hill against Joe Kelly. The game can be heard on 970 WATH with pre game at 7:45 and first pitch at 8:15.
