Morning Sports – 9/10/13

The Cincinnati Reds were blanked by the Chicago Cubs last night, 2-0. Tony Cingrani will take the hill against Edwin Jackson. The game can be heard on 970 WATH with pre game at 6:40 and first pitch at 7:10.

The Cleveland Indians topped the Kansas City Royals yesterday, 4-3. The Tribe raced out to a 3-0 lead, scoring on solo dingers from Asdrubal Cabrera and Yan Gomes. Kansas City scored once in the sixth on an Eric Hosmer RBI single, but the Indians answered on a Carlos Santana solo homer. In the eighth, Alex Gordon hit a two-run homer for Kansas City, but it would not be enough. The Indians battle Kansas City again tonight at 7.
