The Trimble Tomcats made history on Saturday night, claiming their first regional crown with a 21-14 win over Shadyside. The Tomcats took the ball down field on the opening drive only to fumble into the endzone recovered by the Tigers. But the Tomcats did get on the board first on a 95-yard touchdown pass from Konner Standley to Austin Downs to put Trimble up 7-0 late in the first.

Justice Jenkins intercepted a pass and then caught a touchdown on the following drive to tie the game late in the third. Then, in the fourth, Jacob Koons pounded down the field for a touchdown that would clinch the Tomcats win.
Trimble will now battle Berlin Center Western Reserve in the State Semifinal matchup next Saturday night at 7. The location is TBA, but the game can be heard on Power 105 with pre game at 6:45.
